This was a beautiful book about the relics of our past in the form of churches. The beauty and the stories of these magnificent places are shown to appreciated with and without faith tied in and about the history of people and the stillness and spiritual sensation is more important than religion. There is also tales of churches in danger of being abandoned or destroyed and how, as statues of our cultural history we should try and save them as well as we can to be passed on as the relics that they are. I truly loved this book and the journey that Ross takes us on and find myself itching to go explore local churches myself.
