REVIEW

Robert Langdon is by far one of my favourite adult novel protagonists. His adventures are interesting because they are based on historical and symbolic context with any mystery requiring puzzle solving and niche based logic. Instead of using his brawn to get him and his companions out of situations (though he does have some) he uses his brains and tact. This first story involves the idea of the Illuminati versus the Vatican which I honestly found so compelling and, even if things described aren’t true/ accurate to real life counterparts, the story is believable for the version of these events that the story is set in. I loved Vittoria as a counterpoint to Langdon and the two work well together as a team. The story also highlights the importance of listening well, hearing people out fully and not jumping to conclusions.
