REVIEW
Definitely a story of beautiful prose and wonderful storytelling for the Genesis story of the Bible. I absolutely loved the add-ons to the original tale and the battles between the Angels and the Fallen Angels were very cool.
I also love how Milton had the Angels showing Adam all of the future events from the Bible that occur after and because of eating the fruit.
I adore the Eve in this story and, though you know she’s going to be punished and will be seen as less than Adam due to the original story and the era that Milton lived in, I still think that he managed to make her more sympathetic and human than other retellings and the Bible itself. It certainly makes me appreciate the tale more.
