REVIEW

This is a very good book about a place that for me is close to home, having lived ‘round the corner’ from the Lake District most of my life.

The careful balance of trying to bring nature back in without enraging local farmers seems like a difficult problem to manage so I applaud the team for educating people and sticking with it until they had more friends than enemies.

I am impressed by all of the changes that they say that they have already made and hope that the future prediction he makes in the final chapter comes true.
