REVIEW
I love moths and so this was a very good book to get a little glimpse into the world through their eyes so to speak.
The book uses moths lives, populations and variations to highlight the state of nature and population changes on the whole. He talks about topics such as births vs deaths numbers, immigration, emigration, selective or eclectic diets and aliens (foreign breeds not ET)
The book ends on a sombre note as the populations of moths are not looking good and widening the lens as the book does for all other topics neither are the populations of other species and (surprising nobody) humans are to blame, even if we don’t mean to be.
Tim ends with advice to lessen consumption and shop more locally for what we do consume – which is pretty actionable for most people.
