REVIEW

This is a superbly written book and truly fascinating and engaging with each person highlighted in the chapters given the same amount of weight, care, and dedication to detail.

I love the inclusion of the many manuscripts mentioned within the book, illuminating some of the reasons as to why these texts were so sought after.

I do love the eccentricity that seems to be shared with all of the manuscript lovers and how I can also see that these traits of fascination and dedication reflected in each of them – as well as within myself.

Truly a magnificent read – even if it did take me a while die to its size. But absolutely worth it.
