It was such a beautiful read and I am glad that I picked it back up after dropping it a while ago. The tale is a depressing one, but it shows how the worst thing that can sometimes happen is absolutely nothing. The trapping and mundane despair of the sisters who didn’t even try to escape after the first was tragic. A superb book and a modern classic.
