REVIEW
It was beautifully written and I love the Vernian quirks of random lessons and facts being dispersed within the fiction. The actual journey to the centre is around three quarters of the book and don’t actually end up fully competing the full trip due to the actions of the characters which slightly goes against the expectations that I had, though these were from films that I’ve watched.
The book had moments that surprised me and the characters were entertainingly eccentric. I truly enjoyed it even if it was different to what I thought it would be going in.
I love Verne’s writing style and had a wonderful time with this book.
