Wind Blows Cold

Do you know why the wind blows cold?
It is to give you its warning.
It is no longer safe here, it cries. Move along to the next town, city, country. There you will find haven. But not here.
Not any more.

The wind blows cold to protect you as you journey along.
It keeps away bandits and creatures who may have wished you harm. It forms a barrier so you may travel undisturbed through the village streets and forest paths. It wraps you up and carries you in its icy grasp as long as you need to go.
As far as you need to go.

The wind blows cold to guide you.
It buffets you towards the shore. There, it promises, you will find your promised land; your new beginning. If you follow that wind,
your future will be brighter.

The wind blows warm.
To let you know that nothing will hunt you here. That you have made it.
That you are safe.
