REVIEW
A wonderful book exploring senses that we ourselves can never full experience or appreciate but study to try and learn how animals like and observe their world though their umwelt.
Yong leads you though a bunch of senses both common and uncommon, surprisingly rare and unexpectedly present.
Sometimes humans try too hard to see ourselves as the definitive or best creature but our senses are incredibly lacking in some areas that some areas that everyone else seems to thrive.
And at the end there is an important note about sensory pollution (light, noise, and smells) that we need to reduce to help those affected, including ourselves.
