I loved this! The characters, the world-building, the slowly complicating yet simplifying plot that tightens and unravels is amazing.
There were some sad moments that really hit me due to the jarringness of how they happened but it was fitting with the tone of the characters and the story so it wasn’t for shock value or forced but they were still sad.
I liked the exploration of possible other relationships with the main characters and what it will mean for the central couple but I am looking forward to that being explored.
There are two more books so I know that the next one probably won’t end smoothly but, knowing how much I loved the first book and this one, I will probably enjoy them all the same.
